third annual event
last week the third annual reggae dance was a big success with all sorts of people having all sorts of fun. over 200 people in attendance and if you missed it.. well, you have to wait until 2009. don pablo, rank’n'dan, hutchie and hyton b in full effect.
we had a hard time this past friday night. it started off i made a few mistakes back to back and then we realized that the bottom oven was turned down, probably the knob got bumped. this put all the pies and calzones behind by about 10 or 15 minutes, and on top of the mistakes, it made for a general hard time. food was taking too long and not cooked as perfectly as possible. by 8pm, we had a handle on things and the night recovered. still, a pretty stressful start. with graduation here in 2 weeks, we need to be on top of our game for sure.
tuesday night coming up is the weary boys show. i’m pretty excited about that. the last 2 times they have been there they have just blown everyone away. it’s been a couple years now and i’m just hoping folks come out, even though it’s a tuesday night.
